Leo Partyka Sr. was trained in automotive repair at an early age having been brought up in a mechanical and aviation family. He opened a Sunoco service station in 1947 after being released from the navy. From there he acquired his first Chevrolet franchise in East Hampton in 1954 which led to the building of the present dealership in Hamden in 1964 after Chevrolet realized his growing potential. His son Lee Michael began his career in the Service and Parts Departments from a young age do to the same upbringing. After graduation from Babson College he began working in the Sales Department and attended General Motors Dealers Son’s School. He began Managing the Sales department and was quickly appointed co-dealer of Partyka Chevrolet Inc by General Motors. The Mazda franchise was added in 1974 and the Isuzu Medium Duty franchise was added 10 years later both having proved to be a valuable addition to the company. Today Lee Michael, his wife Robin and his daughters Amy, Meg and General Manager Joe Gallagi are dedicated to carrying on the Partyka legacy of the company through community and family.
Joe Gallagi has grown up in the automotive industry and has worked every aspect of the sales process bringing to us a wealth of automotive knowledge. One of Joe’s many talents is his ability to communicate effectively with all kinds of people.
